MASM 7 or previous versions of the MS Assembler, any problems with dropping that ml in to replace the ml that comes with MASM32?

you mean ML (compiler), not whole MASM package, right?
I am using Macro Assembler v7.00.9466 and Incremental Linker v7.10.3052

I tried ML.exe & Link.exe from latest VisualStudio 2005, but it sucks
Linker 8.0 do not support some command line switches, assembler fails sometimes with good (assembled ok by all prev. version) code

so, you can use ml/link 7

Thank you Jupiter.

About the only thing I have found about Masm 7 (link) actually mentions v7.00.9466.

I did find v7.10.4035 inside the DDK from Microsoft (looks like this will be replaced with WDK which is not quite in beta).

MSDN docs on Masm appear to reflect this newer version as it has the added command line switch /safeseh.

Thanks again. I already have 3 different versions of ml so why not another one.

I use ML.EXE 7.10, it comes with Visual Studio 2003. I have never had any problems using it with MASM32. The /safeseh switch is the only new feature different from ML.EXE 6.15. It's a good one.

I agree ML.EXE 8.00 from Visual Studio 2005 is not so good.
