Compiling 8051 code, I'm a newbie at assembler and want to know if there is an add-in to compile code for the 8051.

now you may add as many files into project as you need and compile. but this is not the finish of the preparation work yet! try to make simpliest code - if it is ok, then create TEMPLATE: it is usual project, situated in templates\<category>\ folder.
this is available via menu File->Instant New Project->Save Current As Template

after this you make create new projects automatically: choose it when ctrl+n pressed and tick "Remember..." - next time it will be suggested by default.

can not say "that's all", but can say "that's enough"

there are a lot of other features in winasm+wafasm, on other hand this way could be shorter, but less convenient later. also, winasm studio has no syntaxis highlight or any other C-specific feature built-in, but anyway is more flexible then usual editor for programming.

finally i have to say - some tools have both automatic and interactive mode. keep an eye to not set commandline to run tool into interactive mode when output is redirected into winasm out window - this will hang studio! if you wish to use interactive mode - turn of redirection (see check-box below commandline in project properties box)

regards!
