HiEditor V2.0 Beta - Syntax Highlight, several new features and serious code improvements, please test it thoroughly and let me know of any suggestions/bugs.

eg. for menu item "Command Prompt":

then for asm extension will be 2 options: FASM and MASM
in general, A is enough, B is as example of possible, but for more complex will be better when hiedit will replace codehi in IDE.

I 've done it while reading your post. You 'll have it in the next version.
You can also close current file with middle click on the file tab, btw. (warning: you won't be asked to save)

sorry i was not clear here.
since i'm trying to add php, in the syntax highlighting, how do i change the highlighting for strings and comments?
ex. strings can be either 'string' or "string", with the latter having variable substitutions. comments can be // or # for line comment and /* */ for block comment.
reading again the changelog i suppose this can't be done yet?
also would be nice if we could personalize also punctuation characters (; , . etc) and numbers (ex. 0 1 20 32.5).
