Fossils - I8080A with FASM, PC memories: 8080, spare board extend IO ports, 128 kB DRAM ...

My last 8080-based pc (1992-1994) spare board was used to extend IO ports, DRAM up to 128 kB and swap ROM with CMOS RAM of same pin-out. had protected mode, where user had more rights then system: there were switches which could block writing to extended memory - only reading. so, after loading "disks" from tape there were noway to damage them except power failure wink.gif

occasionally i found my foto with my first pc i made in 1989. foto - 1991, when it was my main workstation (i've been using it to play till 2000). tape recorder - data storage biggrin.gif
