Hi,

If i create a new projekt in version 5.1.7.0 there is no syntax highlighting and I have to reset the path to API-functions/structures/constants.

Open an existing project with v5.1.7.0 works fine!

Regards,

XeS

it can not be a feature. it's or bug, either wrong settings. pls, do these things:
1) download and try 5.1.6.0 version
2) tell us in which way you create new project: empty or from template, or just empty asm first, if from template - which one (any or specific), target assembler (masm, fasm etc.)
3) what you mean with "reset the path to API-functions/structures/constants"? they have to point

generally, i was not able to reproduce what you said nor with masm, neither with fasm, like from template, same with empty projects. if it will stay - maybe i will need step by step reproducing what you do on your pc.
regards!

Version 5.1.6.0 is working fine that´s why i named this (v5.1.7.0). The settings are from previous v5.1.6.0. I´m currently using MASM v10 but i think this is not related to syntax highlighting.

I´ve tested the first 4 empty projects. But i think it is reproduceable with all empty projects.

Reproduce how to:
  • Download v5.1.5.0 for the whole content
  • Download v5.1.7.0
  • Update v5.1.5.0 to v5.1.7.0
  • Start WinAsm Studio go directly to options and insert path to "Keywords" and "API-calls-funcs-consts"
  • Create a new "EMPTY Project" and the syntax highlighting is working correctly as it should be
  • Now close WinAsm Studio and start it again
  • Directly open a new "EMPTY Project" and there is no syntax highlighting until you reselect the paths to "Keywords" and "API-calls-funcs-consts" [read next line]
  • Open options dialog and close it imediately with "OK" would be enough!
  • Now syntax highlighting works fine, until you restart WinAsm Studio

i was not able to reproduce what you said nor with masm, neither with fasm, like from template, same with empty projects.
  • If you have selected "open last project" in the options dialog this bug would never occur! (unimportant if you follow my steps "in reproduce how to")

Can you tell me if this is a bug too.follow me
