I'm posting a pic so you can see the problem, it's quite annoying. To reproduce it select a text, DELete it, then press Ctrl+Z to UNDO the action, there are a couple of random ways to get the same results though.

Hi bulk_4me,

You may have to get more specific about your problem. From your post and screenie one would assume that it's the highlighted selection giving you trouble ...

Highlight (select) text, Delete and then Undo -
Undo just Undos the last action - the Delete, not the highlight. So you Undo the delete and you see what was unDeleted (it is highlighted).

Now we come to a trouble spot for me. In that screenie is that highlight your selection?
If it is how are you able to get a 'block' selection without the entire line being selected? blink.gif
There have been times where I'd give anything to do a block selection like that.

hmmm, I have noticed one annoyance with selection/highlight.

Sometimes when I set the caret to a position, say to add a character, I will click on the position I want, then move the mouse away and type the character. There are times when I will get a whole section of code highlighted and then replaced with that one character. Same when I want to cut/paste a bit of code, I will select/highlight it, copy/cut and then move the mouse. I can get a whole section of code highlight and disappear and show up somewhere else(thankfully Undo saves me - hehe).

Anyway, I know that behavior is caused by my slow computer and Intellisense. If I am on a line that Intellisense is going to activate I get ahead of the program while Intellisense is busy searching. I usually catch it now before any damage because I am used to it occuring. Could this be what you are referring to?

The anomoly here is theoretically this should not happen. Consider the actions:
'Click mouse button / Unclick mouse button / Move mouse' while Intellisense is trying to do its thing.
This is being interpreted as:
'Click mouse button / Move mouse / Unclick mouse button' from a user's point of view.

Could I be looking at this wrong or could there really be a problem here?

Exactly when you UNDO it randomly paints a new selection box, that doesn't mean that the text is selected as you may notice (if you look to the screen) it's impossible to select that with your mouse.
