Assemble and Link, is there a way to both assemble and link with one single command?

I just installed WinAsm, and so far I am very impressed. smile.gif

I have a question. It seems I must press Shift-F6 to assemble, followed by Shift-F7 to link? Is there a way to create a hotkey to do both? I do not want to run the .exe as well, because the EXE is a console app called from another program with parameters.

Oops... Sorry about that...

Listen...

The Studio Help file can answer this question. I'd pull it up but I'm away from my regular terminal.

Hope it helps. wink.gif

Mike,

Welcome to the winasm.net forums!

Unless i'm missing something (i must warn you though, i usually do), no, there isn't a functionality to execute both steps at once, at least embedded in WinAsm Studio...

Such functionality could be achieved:

1) By including a batch file to your project, that succesively invokes the compiler and the linker...
However, there isn't a registered shortcut by which you can run such a batch file; you must run the batch file through the menu-item "Project->Run Batch File".

...or...

2) By building a custom add-in that registers a hot-key to do the job...

Hope this helps.

Go All (Shift +F8) does this. If you don't want to run the exe, go Tools-Options-Miscellaneous and deselect "Launch EXE on Go All'

Welcome on board!

Thanks to akyprian, and everyone else.
Configuring Tools-Options-Miscellaneous was the perfect solution.
